  • MIMOSA PUDICA SEEDS: A short lived perennial with incredible leaves that physically pull back when touched. A true wonder of the natural world. Grow indoors on a bright windowsill all year round.
  • Winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit for reliability and good performance.
  • SOW: January to December, FLOWERS: July to October, HEIGHT: 30cm, SPREAD: 25cm, SEEDS: 100 Approx.
  • FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN - January to December. WHERE – In medium-sized pots of compost. HOW - Sow thinly, cover lightly with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 20C. Germination may be slow and erratic. Seedlings appear 14-42 days. CARE - Remove cover when seedlings appear. Thin out to approx. 5cm apart, leaving around half a dozen seedlings to grow on. Water sparingly, allowing compost to almost dry out between waterings. FLOWERS – July to October.
  • TIP: Touching the plants too often can drain them of energy and shorten their lives. An occasional feed with a weak liquid fertiliser is recommended.
